HANNAH MONTANA IS BACK IN BOTH WORLDS

You got the limo out front? Because Hannah Montana is back. Disney+ is producing the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special starring Miley Cyrus, and although the special is neither a reboot nor a return to the Hannah Montana world, it will feature a live interview between Cyrus and Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper. The special will also re-create sets, including “Miley Stewart’s” closet and living room, and feature never-before-seen archival footage. The press release also teases potential performances by Cyrus of some of that beloved Hannah Montana music, saying, “There will also be some familiar *notes* that find their way back into the spotlight …” If there is no “Rock Star,” we riot.

Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus said in a statement. “What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection.” Cyrus began starring in the Disney Channel original series in 2006, when she was just 14 years old. “The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of,” Cyrus added. “This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”

The special will air on Disney+ on March 24, exactly 20 years after the show’s premiere. Get ready to rock out the show.
