FORTNITE V33.20 PATCH NOTES – HATSUNE MIKU AND GODZILLA ARE HERE

Fortnite is kicking off the new year with a couple of big additions. Following the Winterfest update, Fortnite v33.20 will add a new character in Fortnite Festival, complemented by a major crossover in Battle Royale. A new update also means new skins, which are set to be released in the item shop soon.

Here's everything coming to Fortnite in update v33.20.

Hatsune Miku Joins Fortnite Festival

Virtual pop star Hatsune Miku is the featured artist of Fortnite Festival season 7. This means that we're also getting a new Music Pass, and for the first time, a local multiplayer mode in the spinoff game. Of course, you'll also be able to dress up as Miku with new skins, which are also applicable in Fortnite BR.

Godzilla Boss Fight

Godzilla, the king of kaijus, will make his presence felt in a grand fashion in this update. We've been waiting for Godzilla to be activated since the start of chapter 6, and it's finally happening in the coming weeks. Get ready to take on Godzilla as it rampages through the island, and unlock a special Godzilla skin after defeating him.

Fortnite Shop Adds Batman Caped Crusader Bundle

During the Winterfest update, Epic Games added some DC and Star Wars skins. This time, we're getting a follow-up to the Last Laugh bundle with Batman's Caped Crusader bundle. The bundle includes two Batman costumes, including Christian Bale's The Dark Knight costume and related items.

New Survey Skins Coming to Fortnite

Every once in a while, Epic shows players concept art for skins currently being designed. Many new skins are being added to the game in this update, including some survey skins. These include a raccoon dressed as a ninja with a katana and a Jingasa hat, which should be officially added to the game before the next update.

Welcome Back Rail Gun

Fortnite is bringing back the rail gun sniper rifle after removing access to it following Chapter 2. This powerful hitscan weapon was a hallmark of the game back in 2021, which lets players charge up energy before firing a strong shot. Its big weakness is that other players can see the red beam it emits at its target.
