MELISSA GILBERT CALLS HUSBAND TIMOTHY BUSFIELD HER "FAVORITE PERSON" IN HEARTFELT POST

Melissa Gilbert isn't one to hide her love for her husband Timothy Busfield — and she's making a public statement about him for the most heartfelt reason.

Fans of the longtime couple may remember the pair wed back in April 2013, after first meeting at a bar across from Los Angeles' Universal Studios the year before. Well, Melissa and Timothy are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary — and the Little House on the Prairie alum went on Instagram to mark the occasion. Sharing a throwback photo from their special day, Melissa penned an emotional tribute about how much his presence has meant to her throughout their marriage.

"12 years of true partnership," she wrote in a romantic caption on April 24. "12 years of baseball, yoga, dance class. 12 years of adventure, comfort, care and synergy. 12 years married. 12 perfect years with my favorite person, who has my favorite face and my favorite soul. How lucky I am. I love you @timbusfield. Happy anniversary."

When folks came across Melissa's public display of affection for Timothy online, they couldn't get over just how special the couple's love was for one another.

"Cheers to a beautiful 12 years with your best friend and soulmate! To many many more! You are an inspiration. ❤️🥂," one person wrote. "Happy Anniversary!!!!!!! Yaaaaaayyyy! Love wins again! 💞✨," another declared. "Beautiful picture of y'all Melissa! Happy 12th Anniversary to you two love birds 😍🔥💜," a different follower added.

While there are elements of Melissa and Timothy's love life they prefer to keep private, they both have spoken out over the years about their marriage. As Melissa shared with People back in September 2024, the couple's romance all boils down to one particular quality they both love.

"It's all of the good things that a relationship should be," she shared at the time. "There is rarely drama, and if there is drama, it's not caused by us. It comes from outside, and we handle it in a much different way... By the time you get to be the age we were when we met, you know what you don't want. Even more than you know what you do, you know what you will not put up with ever again and that changes everything."

Congrats, Melissa and Timothy!
